Is this a real business? Or just a hobby gone wild?
Yes, it is real! :) I do get to play with LEGO® all day so it’s definitely fun, but this business is registered in the Province of Ontario and remits both PST and GST accordingly. I do not tax any of my buyers though; all the taxes I charge are built into the price of my items. That may be why some of my goods are not the least expensive on Bricklink. As far as the hobby aspect goes...well I honestly don’t get as much time to build as I want to. I have a nice little nook set up to do so, but it’s been getting kind of dusty lately. Maybe I’ll do more building when I retire! LOL

How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are not pulled from my inventory until they are paid for. Once your payment has cleared into my Paypal account or been deposited into my bank account, I then pull and package your order.  Processing your order generally takes anywhere from 1-3 business days and then your order is dropped off for shipment. On average USA/International/Overseas orders take between 7-14 business days to arrive. Canadian domestic orders approximately 5-10 business days (though some cross country orders have taken longer!). If your order seems to have been in transit unusually long you may want to contact me! Please keep in mind that I cannot launch an insurance claim with Canada Post until at least 30 days has elapsed.

My order arrived short a few pieces, what now?
Unfortunately because I am human there are at times errors in my inventory or perhaps an unintentional misreading of a packing slip and thus you may not get everything you paid me for. In this uncommon instance I generally refund your PayPal account at the time of shipment in order to reimburse you for the mistake in my system. If you check your PayPal account you will see this refund clearly as well as get an email about it directly from PayPal. I work very hard to avoid these kinds of errors  but if I didn’t notice the mistake and your account has not been credited PLEASE email me immediately and we will work out a way to get you satisfied ASAP. Due to shipping costs I cannot send out replacement parts in most cases as it is cost prohibitive...but you will always find me willing to work out these issues and find a suitable, creative solution.

Will I be charged tax on top of the listed prices?
All the taxes I charge are built into the price of my items. That may be why some of my goods are not the least expensive on Bricklink.

I only want to order a few parts and not $15 as is your minimum...is that allowed?
If you really need a very few parts and cannot come up with $15 to place your order, I can allow it if you are willing to pay ALL the shipping costs for your items. I have set my minimum order at $15 in order to make enough profit on each transaction to justify the free shipping I offer. Generally speaking I prefer you to order at least that much in order to cover my costs.

I want to place an order but your minimum is set at $1000! That’s CRAZY!
Yes, a thousand dollar minimum is really high :) I sometimes select that to ensure that buyers note a long shipping delay when I am away or too congested with orders to ship in a more normal and timely manner. The high minimum can be easily be bypassed by reading the note concerning this issue on my Main page, at the end of which you will be given a password. If you understand and agree to the conditions I have outlined, you may then use this password to bypass the minimum purchase at checkout.  Please note that orders must be at least $15 in order to qualify for free shipping; orders of less than $15 will be invoiced with the appropriate shipping charge.

How can you invoice so fast? When will my order ship?
I do not fill orders until payment is received and cleared into my PayPal account. I therefore tend to invoice very fast! Once you pay for your items I generally ship between one and three business days afterward. I have a family and try very hard to set my LEGO® business aside to spend time with them on weekends. I may be slow to answer on weekends because of this.

What shipping methods are available to me?
I ship all parcels via Canada Post. I do not use couriers like FEDEX and UPS. If you need faster shipment, please be aware that non-domestic rates for overnight services are far higher from Canada than elsewhere.

How will you package my items?
Packaging is either padded mailer or 6"x6"x6" cardboard box depending on the thickness and/or weight of your order. I will ship in the appropriate container at my discretion. I make every effort to package orders carefully and safely. I use mainly brand new materials except for a few types of zippered baggies that have been used for sorting. I separate fragile or scratch prone items into their own baggies and try to keep multiple lots divided as much as possible.

I only received half of my large order...what gives??!
Most orders in excess of 500grams or approximately one pound in weight may be split into multiple boxes for shipment at my discretion. As stipulated on my Shipping page, in extreme cases some overseas shipments may incur an additional charge for this service. The vast majority of shipments are well under this allowance, but if you order a huge amount of heavy bricks to be shipped outside of North America, please be aware of this policy!

If I am in your area, do you have a physical store I can shop in?
I do not have a physical LEGO® store. I can only accept orders through the Bricklink system as my inventory is meticulously sorted and accounted for online. However, I do have an extensive inventory stored at my home; if you want to see how I store it all, check out the photos of my office via the link on the About Me page!

Can I pick up my order in person?
Yes, you can pick up your order! If you are in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and wish to do so, please email me first so we can reach a mutually agreeable time.

I want to place an order in your store but it seems to be closed...why? Can I still get in to shop?
I run this business all by myself and have many responsibilities outside the Bricklink world. In the interest of good and speedy customer service my store will close temporarily if I find myself with too much on my plate. Please email me if you need access while I’m closed or check my Main page for further details.

What currency do you deal in?
All prices and invoices are in US dollars, but I do accept payment in Canadian dollars as well. Instructions for paying in Canadian currency will be included with your invoice. All Canadian funds payment must be properly converted from the stated US $ total.

What is the quality of the parts in your store?
All my parts are NEW unless otherwise stated. However, I have recently found that some NEW LEGO® pieces do not have the mint, shiny and new appearance that I am used to seeing from LEGO® even though they have come to me directly from the LEGO® Company. Just please be aware that although the majority of my parts are indeed new, that does not mean they are 'perfect' or 'mint'. Any condition issues with new items should be taken up with LEGO® as I cannot be held responsible for their quality control issues.

Where do you get all your LEGO®?
Surprisingly I shop retail stores just like you do! I do not have any special purchasing agreement or ability to buy direct from LEGO® at all. I shop the world to bring you these parts as I especially like shopping from other Bricklink stores! :)

What the heck is WHaCKaLuG?? Can I join?
WHaCKaLuG is a local AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO®) group that was founded by myself and Janey Red Brick. It has members from (but not limited to) the Waterloo, Hamilton, Cambridge, Kitchener, London and Guelph areas of Ontario. It is an open goup...meaning you can join as long as you are an adult and like LEGO®! :) We accept collectors, builders, resellers, and anyone else 19 years of age or older who wants to chat once a month about our favourite ‘toy’. Meetings are FREE and the dates and locations are posted on Facebook, LUGNET, and on my About Me page. Email me to join our mailing list and to find out more!

The status of my order doesn’t look right. Huh? It’s been ‘packed’ for two days now?!
I use the order status feature a little differently than a lot of sellers. Here is a brief explanation of what I mean:

Pending: I haven’t yet looked at your order.
Ready: I’ve invoiced your order and it is ready for any additions or for payment.
Processing: I use this if there is something keeping me from continuing with your order like a mailed payment or a PayPal echeck that has not yet cleared into my account.
Paid: Your payment has been accepted and acknowledged by me.
Packed: After recording your payment I use the packed status to signify that I have your order in the queue for pulling/packaging. Depending on how busy I am or how complicated your order is this status can be applicable for several days.
Shipped: Your order is on its way and is in the postal system.
Completed: YOU set this status when you are happy with your order and ready to leave feedback. If there is anything not right please contact me to fix it before you leave feedback! I am always ready to help you with any questions or concerns after you receive your goods.
